ORANJESTAD- Since 1975 that AVB adapted the playoff system to determined its champion, there has been a total of 36 champions, with exception of the 2004 season since there was no competition. During the course of this 37 years span, Bubali has won one title, Birtannia three titles, Dakota six titles, Estrella ten titles, RCA nine titles, Riverplate has two titles, San Luis Deportivo one title and Nacional has 4 titles.

The schedule for the AVB Division di Honor Playoff 2012 last two games in the semifinal round has been modified, both games will now be played on Wednesday, 6 June. La Fama vs RCA will be played at Compleho Deportivo Frans Figaroa simultaneously as Estrella and Britannia are squaring off in Compleho Deportivo Guillermo Prospero Trinidad, all fighting to secure a spot in the finals. As the clock hits 8:05 PM both games will start, the forty-four players on the field will all have an equal opportunity to make history.

The total number of goals scored so far during the playoffs is 1399, one shy of the historical number of 1400. Who will be the player to put his name behind the 1400 mark will happen tonight.
