AVB has been informed by Rigo Croeze that Juan Carlos Hugert also known by soccer fans on the island as "Raspa Monte" will be the coach for the remainder of the season. Juan Carlos started the season as the central back of the team but due to a knee injury was forced to retired.
Dakota on the other hand have not been successful in their last couple of match-days. On Thursday they lost at the hands of RCA by the score of 3-0. After this though loss, Dakota was left in a though spot. Management felt that by bringing in a new coach would get the players to respond and react and play to their abilities. Guillermo Guerra and Dakota mutually agreed to part ways. Management of Dakota moved quickly and this morning reached an agreement with Richard "Rido" Vermeulen to coach Dakota for the remainder of the season. Rido who had been coaching Unistars a Division Uno team, has ample experience in Division di Honor as he managed Estrella in the past and reached all the way to the finals but could not get past the heroics of Jonathan Lake and Britania to win the title. Rido has been coaching the U-17 and U-20 Dakota for the past two years and has his own vision to where he would like to take the Dakota club. On March 18, he obtained his 5th consecutive title with the U-13 National Team after beating Curacao in the Himno y Bandera Tournament final. AVB would like to wish both coach Juan Carlos Hugert and Richard Vermeulen all kinds of success with their new task ahead of them. At Unistars the Division Uno team that Richard would be leaving, his assistant, Richinelle Maduro would be taking over as the head coach for the remainder of the season. AVB would like to wish Johnny Douglas and Guillermo Guerra all the best in their future endeavors and that we expect to see them soon back on the sidelines guiding a team that is a perfect fit for both. ORANJESTAD- After Match-day 12 in which Caravel faced Riverplate and lost by the score of 3-0, SV Caravel and Johnny Douglas mutually agreed to part ways as he felt that he did everything possible but that the team still could not find their drive. The decision was tough, Caravel has been acquiring young players over the course of the year so that Johnny could upgrade their game and Caravel's performance on the field.
